Pinch Technique

For this project, we had to create something in the combination with multiple pinch pots. As you can see in the pictures below, I ended up including eight different pinch pots. Each sphere is two different pinch pots combined together, and there are three of them, and then the two cups per se are both pinch pots. This project was completely random, I just made it up as I went not knowing what it will end up looking like. However, one thing I did like about this project was the color of the glaze I painted which was PC-59 "Deep Firebrick." This process, the pinch technique, is straightforward and is used by pinching a ball of clay, so it forms a hollow sphere with your thumbs and fingers and constantly thinning out the sides to make it bigger.

Looking back on the project, there are two clear things I would've done differently. To start, I would've liked to start the project with a little more of a foundation and created a sketch to figure out what exactly I was going to do so I had something to base my project off of rather than making it up as I went along. The next thing I would have done differently is even though I did do three layers of glaze I still wasn't happy with apparently all the spots I missed so if I could do it again I would be more careful glazing.
