There wasn't a specific main idea for these pieces. I am staying in a cottage by the water currently and the first thing I thought of was how pretty this window was in my room. So, that was definitely the first room I thought of when assigned this work. Starting thus project I knew that the hardest thing for me to draw would be the random object. I tried out a few different objects but they all seemed too hard so I just went with drawing my phone.
For the materials I used it was pretty simple. For all of them I just used printer paper, but I didn't have my tape with me so I had to fold it to a certain size. I also didn't have my ruler so trying to make straight lines was difficult. For the self portrait, I used the shading tool as well. This came in handy to try and get some features to look better.
To make all of these, it probably took the longest to make the corner of my room. It was so difficult to get all the lines straight and to try to figure out the depth of the room. But after completing that drawing I moved on to the drawing of my phone, which was also hard. I has trouble with the camera part and keeping the lines straight. For the self portrait I didn't think it was as difficult. Although it looks nothing like me I still think the shading was easier.
