Artist Statement

This assignment was about portraits. We had to use different techniques and produce a final project of 18 portraits. For mine, I chose to take all of them of the same person, so it would make a more consistent collection of photos. I chose my sister, Sophie.  I took most of them outside in the evening because I liked how the sun was. My favorite one is probably the one of her in the car mirror. I like how you can see the rays of sunlight coming down, and how the colors of the leaves in the background correlate with colors on her face and hair.
