Pinch technique

for this until we learned the pinch technique. We began by making a simple pinch pot. This is done by starting with a lump of clay and sticking your thumb in the middle in order to slowly form it by rotating and pinching. For some practice, we made a sphere out of two pinch pots. We made a multiple pinch pot summative. For mine, I started by making five pinch pots, each slightly smaller than the last. I stacked them biggest to smallest one on top of the other (opening facing down). At this point, I still wasn't quite sure of what I was making. I rolled out a coil and flattened it. I then carved the drippy design into it and slip and scored it around the bottom pinch pot. I then smoothed out the rough edge. I repeated this for each layer.
