Artist Statement:

The assignment for the midterm was all about creativity. We had to make something out of a 4x5 grid of circles. I decided to do something design oriented rather than a drawing. I wanted to incorporate bright, bold colors because  I have enjoyed that in a couple of my recent projects. I used sharpie for the outlines before adding color with colored pencils. I made sure to burnish the colored pencil on the solid parts. I started the process of making this by measuring out the paper and sketching on a grid so that I could make it all uniform. I made sure it was all very precise. this process took a while because I wanted to make it uniform.
