Zentangle Value Drawing

Artist Statement

To create this piece of art I started off by creating a value strip. To make the value strip I had to start at the lightest with the pencil 2H and shaded in the first box. After I shaded in my first box I continued shading in the boxes using my lightest pencils all the way to my 6B pencil. After I created my value strip I created a zentangle which is a box that has many different parts and designs. After I drew my zentangle I added my values to add depth to my piece.

What I used to make this was my pencils. The pencils I use come with 2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B, and 6B. 6B being my darkest pencil.
