Artist Statement
The main idea of this project was to create a piece of art where Santa clause and the tooth fairy are at the easter bunny's birthday party. To reach this main idea I drew a summer birthday party on a blue skyed day, where the tooth fairy has flown in to calibrate and Santa came on his vacation.
To create this artwork I used many materials, the materials I used were Markers, Graphite, A ruler, and A pen. I choose to use markers instead of color pencils or anything else because I like the way that markers look when coloring a large area it adds a cool effect that makes the artwork look more finished. I also drew this on watercolor paper, this is a 9" x 12" paper that is a very sturdy paper that materials don't bleed through. This paper when added with a marker also adds a cool effect to my work by adding texture. Adding texture and effect to my work makes the work look more finished.
Creating this artwork was a simple task, even though I had to go back and fix my work several times. One thing that was difficult was drawing my bunny, the angle I wanted to put my bunny at made it hard for me to draw it first try. I had to go back several times and re-draw my bunny in order for it to look like it was in the right place and not just randomly placed. Another thing I had a hard time with was how I was gonna draw fur when the fur is spoused to be white, in the end, I decided to just draw some outlines of where shadows could be or where fur could possibly stick out.
