Lidded Jars

For this project I was told to create to lidded pinch pots that go with eachother. In spirts of halloween I decided to use a witch as my base inspo. Once I knew that I wanted a witch to be the main theme I created two pots that went with that theme. I ended up creating a witches cauldron and a witches hat. Both of these pots brought out my witch theme and easily can go together.

To create these two pots was a process with many ups and downs. First I started by molding two egual size balls of clay. Once my clay balls were around the same size I started to pinch them to create pots. I created two bases for my pots then added on three little legs, and two handles. Then I made the lids by making shallow pinch pots. These shallow pinch pots sat ontop of my pots to act as a lid. Lastly I glazed my two pots to bring them to life.

I really enjoyed making these two pinch pots. They came out very unqiue and I enjoyed watching the process of my pots evolving throughout the project. If I got the opurtounity to make one more pinch pot I would make a pumpkin pinch pot to complete my halloween theme.
