Multiple Pinch Pots

For this project we were told to create a clay peice that consisted of 5 or more pinch pots. I decided to make a suculant in a pot. My inspo for this was the fact that nature in Maine is starting to fall and go bleh for winter. So I wanted to create a peice that showed the bright colors of plants in warm areas. So I went with a suculant as many people have them in their homes and they are in nature.

To create this peice I started with making one pinch pot, this pinch pot would later become the pot or base for my suculant to sit in. This pinch pot I made very boxy and thick as if it was a real potting pot. Next I created the neck of my suculant, to do this I made a coil of clay and then I was done. After this the hard part began, I had to make many small little pinch pots. I ended up with around 10 miny pinch pots.

I enjoyed this project and it really sparked my creativity as it is hard to make a peice of art that consisted of many pinch pots. If I were to do this project again I would create another suculant as I really enjoyed the way it looks in the end.
