My inspiration to create this piece of work came from the assignment to create four perfect prints, each one different from the other. I decided to have my design made up of zentangles and random patterns because I like working with zentangles and creating whatever design you'd like. And I haven't had much experience with them other than the project with zentangles earlier this year, so it was fun to create an interesting design.

The materials I used while creating my four prints consisted of graphite and sharpie on drawing paper for the idea generation sketches. For my carved block, I used an EZ cut block and used colored pencils on my hand-colored print, and cardboard for my unique surface. In general, to create my design of my four different prints,  I used ink.

My process for creating my carved block and four different prints took a few steps, although a few were hard, this process didn't take a lot of time. My first step was creating idea generation sketches, picking one for my final print. After this, I got an EZ cut block and carved out my design, this was one of the harder steps for me because I had so many lines and carving to do. My third step to this process was to create four perfect prints using the block we just carved out: one print with a solid color, one multi-colored print, one print on a different surface, and last but not least, a print plus colored pencil on top of the print.
