Nature #2

My inspiration for my second sustained investigation came from a camp I went to when I was younger. I used wood because my inquiry for this project is based on how nature is conveyed through wood.

The materials I used to create this were a square piece of wood for the surface and many different colored pencils to blend and shade the different components of this art piece.

The process for this piece of artwork didn't take a lot of time. The first step consisted of choosing what medium to use. I chose to use wood because it's a different medium than my last sustained investigation since I used glass. Once I chose to use wood, I began to draw the overall shapes and colors and finished it by adding details to the components of the peice.
