Chaotic

Drawing paper and tape

12" x 6" x 3"

I was inspired to create this from the word, "chaotic," because my past semester I felt like my life had been pretty full and busy. I tried to replicate this with paper by creating tubes and then cutting them in certain sizes. I then attached them to the center one and built them outwardly to make them seem busy and chaotic.

The materials I used to create my paper reflection sculpture included tubes of paper and tape. I attached the tubes of paper by cutting slits in them and then attached them that way.

The process for me to make this sculpture didn't take a lot of time. My first step in this project consisted of choosing which paper to use, I used black because I thought the word "chaotic" could be shown through the color black more than white. After this, I began to roll paper into tubes and cut them in certain sizes. I then cut slits in them for the tubes to attach to other tubes to make it seem like the sculpture is growing bigger and becoming more chaotic.
