The main idea was really the assignment, the thing that I chose to draw was a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

I used all graphite, some different compositions of it. I also shaded a large amount and did some blending with my finger.

My initial idea was to draw a close-up of a rainbow ending in a pot of gold with only the rainbow colors vibrantly. I then started sketching and drawing and ended up feeling that an all-graphite piece with no color would come out better than one with color. I used different shades of graphite to signify the colors of the rainbow.
