Multiple Pinch Pot Project

For this project, we were assignment to make one form that included at least 5 pinch pots, and we also had to make sure that we considered our form from all viewpoints.

I really had no idea what to make for this project for the longest time. I ended up with a pot completely different from my plan but I like my finished product better than my original idea. I decided that I would be the most successful doing this project with a combination of 6 pinch pots, one for each 'petal' of the flower, and then on facing the opposite direction from the others on the bottom as a base to lift the pot up off the table a little bit. I started by forming each pinch pot and setting them next to each other to make sure they fit together. After All of them fit together,  I scratch and slipped them together and then filled in any extra large gaps with more clay, both on the bottom and top. After I did that, I formed the other pinch pot and fit it onto the bottom, again scratching and slipping. After I was done making the actual pot part, I thought that it was kind of boring, so I decided to add some extra details to make it resemble a flower even more. Once I was done and the pots had been bisque fired, I chose my glazes and glazed my pots.

I think this project was successful other than the glazes that I chose. I liked the glaze that I chose for the smaller details, but I don't like the glaze I chose for the majority of the pots. I think I dislike that glaze so much because I didn't make sure that the pot was smooth, so all my finger prints and indents were extra noticeable. I also should've been more careful when glazing this because it got really sloppy around the super small detail parts.
