The purpose of these works was to see where I was at in my artisanal skill, whether it be doing my best to draw an accurate self-portrait, a still life, or a perspective drawing.

I only used graphite for these three pieces. For my Perspective Drawing, I drew the corner of my room near my desk. I used my ruler on some lines to make sure they were straight and I tried to keep the drawing as simple as possible because I know that once I start to add detail I get carried away and the piece becomes inaccurate. My self-portrait was rather hard for me to draw. I did my best to copy what I saw in the mirror while also using techniques and lessons that my former art teacher has previously taught me.

I was trying to be as realistic as possible because the point of this project was to show the skills I already have. I didn't do any research or experiment, but I did edit and revise a lot. I revised a lot especially on my self-portrait because drawing those is definitely not one of my strengths.
