What guided me while trying to draw my hand in pure contour was making sure to not have any wispy/sketchy lines and to make sure that the contour was actually pure. I wanted my hand to be proportional and look anatomically correct, which I think I did an ok job of.

I held up my hand with the rubber band right next to my paper and began to sketch using a light pencil, I sketched the large shapes and slopes of my hand fingers, and wrist, and after I was satisfied, made the lines darker, and erased the sketchy lines.

I had to do quite a bit of revision in order to get the outside edge of my hand near my pinky to be correct, which I tried my best to do, but I don't think I did an amazing job. That was definitely the biggest challenge, It still bothers me a little that I can't get the proportions quite right but that was the best I could do. Something that I'm finally realizing as I write this is that where my wrist meets my hand on my pinky side is not properly aligned with where my wrist meets my hand on my thumb side, which is why it looks disproportional.
