The Zodiac Board is the only way to directly increase your character's statistics. The board has twelve different starting locations, one for each zodiac sign, and each starting point is suited to different jobs. After choosing a starting location, you may take one step in any valid direction (marked by lines leading away from the sign to a stat bonus). Bear in mind that your character's starting location can never be changed under any circumstance!

Every square that you step on adds 1 to the stat depicted on it, meaning the choice of your starting point should be a careful one. Scorpio, for instance, starts with three separate paths away from it! Looking closer, however, will show that it has a lot of MA tiles near it and reaching the nearest PA tiles will take some effort. For this reason, Scorpio might be better suited to a magic caster... But the choice, of course, is yours.
Your character takes a step on the Zodiac Board every time they gain a level, so planning ahead is a good idea. The statistics you earn from the Zodiac Board are to be listed under "Board" on your character sheet.
