The ultimate "Jack of all trades, master of nothing" class, the Freelancer is not restricted in any form when using equipment. However, this may leave the Freelancer a little lacking in terms of benefits as opposed to some of their allies that may have undertaken a class.
Base Class Statistics, Skills, and Equipment
Weapons & Armor: The Freelancer has no equipment limitations and may use any piece of gear.
Skill Bonus: +5 to All Skills
Freelancer skills are available to all characters at all times and do not need to be selected.
Attack
Basic - Chain 1 - Weapon Range
Damage: Normal damage.
Defend
Basic - Special
Effect: On Initiative, the character can declare they are Defending, gaining Resist: Physical damage this round. They may not take any action other than Move on their turn, including Simple Actions (but not Free Actions or Reactions).
Charge
Basic - Full Round Action
Effect: Gain MA*1 MP and remove one stack of Exhaust.
Dash
Basic - Full Round Action
Effect: Double your MOV this round.
Dash Attack
Basic - Full Round Action
Effect: Move your full movement towards the target, then make a single basic Attack at the end of the movement.
When using Dash Attack, you cannot move through Difficult Terrain, and every space you move must bring you closer to your target.
Fix Slot
Basic - Static 1 - Self
Effect: Fixes a broken slot. Costs 1 LP.
Use Item
Basic - Static 1 - Range 1
Effect: Use an item out of the character's Inventory.
Special: Being unarmed in both your Weapon and Shield slots, or equipping Gloves, allows you to Use Item as a Static 1.
Disengage
Basic - Full Round Action
Special: Can only be used when in an enemy Rampart.
Effect: Ignore enemy Rampart in the space you started your turn in without triggering its effects.
First Aid
Basic - Full Round Action - Range 1 - Target: KO'd Ally
Effect: Make a Medical check (D/80, no Automatic Success) on . If successful, the ally stops losing LP from bleedout. If they take any damage while KO'd, they lose 1 LP and bleedout starts again.
Stand Up
Basic - Move Action
Effect: Stand up from the ground.
Special: This action can be performed as a Full Round Action instead.
Re-equip
Basic - Full Round Action
Effect: Change your equipped Weapon, Shield, and/or Ammo.
Rampart
Basic - Simple Action - Requires: Heavy Armor or Status: Rampart
Effect: Turn on or off your Rampart effect. While Rampart is active, enemies who are adjacent to you are subject to your Rampart effect. Enemies who move through your Rampart without stopping adjacent to you trigger your Rampart effect.
Rampart Attack
Basic - Reaction
Trigger: An enemy moves through your Rampart without stopping adjacent to you, or moves away from you without using Disengage.
Effect: You may use any Chain 1 ability against the enemy before they complete their move, which automatically hits.
