Anti Aircraft Battery Wharf Street

This was the only heavy anti aircraft battery built in Dunedin. It was constructed in 1942 on reclaimed land, and decommissioned in 1944. It was built to the Type-A design, with four emplacements and one command post. The emplacements lasted on site till at least 1955 and were demolished shortly after.
