Snicker Doodles Recipe

½ cup butter or margarine, softened

½ cup of shortening

1 ½ cup of sugar

2 eggs

2 ¾ cup of flour

2 teaspoons of cream of tartar

1 teaspoon of baking soda

¼ teaspoon of salt

2 tablespoons of sugar

2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Snickerdoodles

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1 ½ cup of sugar and the eggs.

Blend in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.

Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.

Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and the cinnamon, roll balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on un-greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set.

Immediately remove from baking sheet.

(About 6 dozen cookies).
