The hymns - whether listed below or displayed in full on this website - are in response to different aspects of faith and collective worship, such as anniversaries (e.g. “We solemnly remember), occasions in the church calendar (e.g. “At the Feast of Pentecost”), and Bible passages (e.g. “Shelter me from the wind“ - Isaiah 32:2). They were often first written with a traditional tune in mind, and many have also been set to contemporary tunes, particularly ones composed by 

Gill Berry 

(whose music features in Praise!) and by 

John Turl

 (in Jubilate). their origin can often be traced to a church service or to a less formal fellowship meeting, including passages or themes explained by the person leading them. Other thoughts may have come from various friends and relatives who have all had an indirect but essential part in the resulting collection. How ever well or poorly I have re-expressed them here, I thank God for them all.
