3D Ring with Shape Cutouts
Today you will create a 3D ring with shape cutouts using PLA (Polylactic Acid) and a Makerbot Replicator 2.
Tips
The 3D printer prints with one color of filament that is not determined by the design software.
Useful Hotkeys: (CTRL + Z) Undo, (CTRL + Y) Redo, (CTRL + C) Copy, (CTRL + V) Paste *your pasted object will be positioned directly on top of the original, move the duplicate off to the side with the arrows that appear.
Before starting your design, you will need to know the diameter of your ring size. We have guides available in the lab, but if you are at home, please click here and print out the page at 100% scale.
Extra information for larger ring sizes is available at the Wikipedia page on ring size.
