3D Printed Table Really Tiny House

Intro

Ikea is known for their relatively easy to put together furniture.

One of their classic pieces for individuals recently out of college or the furniture-ambivalent is the LACK sidetable

The table's dimensions are close to a cube at 22" x 22" x 17" H.

If the scale of our house is 1:24, the 3D replica would have a tabletop of .91" and legs .7" H.

If the scale of our house is 1:20, the 3D replica would have a tabletop of 1.1" and legs .85" H.

If the scale of our house is 1:16, the 3D replica would have a tabletop of 1.375" and legs 1.06" H.

For easier printing, let's go with a side table that is no greater than 1.1" on any side (~28mm). This won't seem large, except in how long it takes to print.

Advice for tabletop

1mm might be too thin, let's go for 2mm.

Advice for table legs

Similarly, the foot of your table leg should be around 2mm minimum. Feel free to taper from the table to the foot.

Does my table have to look like the LACK side table?

Nope! It's just a table with easy to see dimensions.

Does my table have to be exactly 28mm on each side?

Nope! Your table should be really close to 28mm on each side, however. This is so everyone gets about the same time on the printer.

I want to make a larger table...

You should! Please visit during Open Shop and 3D print the coolest table ever.
