In 1999,shortly after my interest in Zoids was rekindled by my Zoids 2 Ultrasaurus, I discovered eBay, the (back then) revolutionary on-line buying and selling community. It wasn't long before I was frequently searching the eBay listings for Zoids.
In the summer of 1999 I saw a MISB Original Japanese Release (OJR) Darkhorn being sold on eBay. Although I missed the auction, I was able to contact the seller and made arrangements for payment and shipment on a similar item. It wasn't too long before my OJR Darkhorn arrived at my doorstep.
I've always liked this version, since it has the huge gattling gun and black body. The day-glow green motor and canopies dampen the "stealth" look to this Zoid, but they glow in the dark (along with the decals) so that is kind of novel if not stealthy.
I remember when I first got my Darkhorn I thought of painting the motor housing and weapons. The idea of a bright green motor and dark green weapons did not appeal to me initially. However after some contemplation I decided to leave everything original.
