I've been fascinated with armored tracked vehicles since I was a kid. As I grew older I would study World War II books, especially books about WWII German armor. My first job was working for a Defense contractor and I am familiar with modern Main Battle Tanks like the M1A1 Abrams tank.
So maybe it's natural for me to want to create LEGO models of armored vehicles.
In this model I tried to incorporate some real-world weapons and practices, but with a few fantasy elements thrown in.
One of the fantasy elements is the main armament, a "Plasma Pulse cannon" which instead of cannon shells, converts fuel into high energy plasma which can then be projected. This dispenses with a Loader and allows a 3-man crew (Commander, Gunner, and Driver). A greater compliment of weapons is provided as alternatives to the fuel-hungry main gun. More details about my MBT in the pictures that follow.

The individual track links add a lot of realism to this model. It was a really fun project!
