The Hellbringer Heavy Mech was originally designed as an assault mech. Although recently outmassed by more modern designs, the Hellbringer remains a formidable foe. The tall blocklike torso places the pilot high and in the center, which allows ample room for the large powerplant that gives this mech good speed and potent punch for its energy weapons. Thick legs with stout linkages give reliable mobility, but the average sized feet limit passage over softer surfaces.
The 75 ton 4C variant features improved armor and weapons over the basic version. The Hellbringer 4C is armed with two PPCs, four medium ER lasers, two machine guns, twin hip-mounted triple Streak SRMs, and a LRM-8 mounted on the right shoulder. The Hellbringer also has a unique Zenon long range targeting system mounted on the left shoulder.
Builder Notes:
The Hellbringer IIC was one of my favorites in the Mechwarrior II computer games, although I always replace the PPCs with lots of medium lasers.
