I like art because you get to express yourself without using words. You don’t need a plan, so you just work with what you have. With art, you have the freedom to design anything you want with the only limitations of your imagination.  Art can have the power to be so personal that only you know what it fully means, but that’s also the beauty of art you don’t need to know what it means if it even has a meaning. you truly have full power to create anything you want. We got to learn new skills and experiment with them, like spray paint. Art can be so fun and also serious and that is what I got to expect with Ava this year. 

At the beginning of the term when ani introduced this project, I had no clue what I would do. Luckily Ava had the same problem. When we presented the idea of working together we were met with a few problems, one being it was a long time to work together, and two being that there was an incident a few years ago with a friendship ending over the art project. Together we took the risk and were able to make something that we both liked. We expressed our excitement for having fun and being inspired to experiment with new materials. We make a cardboard model of the space needle and Eiffel Tower, with a white spray paint base and a gold spray paint on top. We ran into a few problems like, we didn’t like how it looked or that we made mistakes with the art that had us undoing the work we had done that class. But along with the struggle of these problems, overcoming them made it that much more worthwhile.
