Pure Contour

The subject of my creation is a shoe. My work was done with a pencil. The work was made by putting a shoe in front of me and drawing the top, side and front view of it. Principles and elements I used were line. It was used all over the three pieces of art.

Rules and Techniques I used in my art work were informal balance, formal balance and leading lines. Informal balance is found in the top view of the shoe and the front view. The formal balance is found the side view of the shoe. The leading lines had to be used when I did the front view of the shoe. My project evolved by putting a shoe in front of me and drawing I had to erase many times but the shoe I had the most trouble with is the front view I couldn't make it look different from the top view, they look really similar.

The story is that we were given a piece of paper that said that we needed to draw the three views of a shoe and the next step was to get smaller and smaller by looking at different views. the project relates to my life because these are my favorites hoes and I love these shoes. If I could go back and revise something I would go back and fix the front view of the shoes, I think it looks like the top view of the shoe.
