Historical Coil

For this project we chose a piece of historical work that we found inspiring. I found it inspiring because the artist had animals painted around the pot. To make this project I had to cut out a bottom and slip and score on coils. The hardest part was getting a wide bottom and a narrow top. I smoothed out the coils along the way on the inside and outside to get the texture I wanted. After it was bisque fired, I chose a pink-peach glaze. I am happy with the way it turned out but if I could go back and fix something it would be to try to even out the sides.
