Color Study

The title of my artwork is Sunset. I created a landscape. I used the following medium to create my work oil pastel. Some of the art-making techniques I used are: blending and shading. I used the following elements of art in my artwork: form and color. To add interest to my composition, I used these principles of design: unity and balance. This artwork is about a sunset on an island. This completed work makes me feel calm and proud. By creating this project I have learned about blending and how to mix colors. In future pieces of of art I may try to blend all the colors in the square together. I added my own original style by adding an orange ring around the sun to make it pop.
