Mixed Media Photo-Realistic Drawing

The title of my artwork is Dog Collar. I created a portrait piece of artwork. I used the following mediums to create my work charcoal, pencil and ink. Some of the art-making techniques I used are drawing and shading. I used the following elements of art in my artwork value, shape and texture. To add interest to my composition to my piece, I used the following principles of design: pattern and contrast. My artwork is about how much the animals in my life mean to me. This completed work makes me feel awesome. I think that it came out a lot better than I had thought. By creating the artwork I have learned that charcoal is such a hard tool to work with. In my future piece of art I may try to make the hair look more defined. I added my own original style by adding the hash marks in the darker spots of the shaded areas.
