Healthy Ways to Work through Stress

There are many healthy ways to work through stress and worries. Listen to how Ruby handles her worries and stress in the story, Ruby Finds a Worry.

After you listened to the story, think about how Ruby managed her worry. How can you manage a worry? Talk to a trusted adult to make a list of ideas.

Hop Scotch:

  • Draw a hopscotch design on the ground. …(or use twigs to make as lines)

  • Throw a flat stone or similar object (small bean bag, shell, button, plastic toy) to land on square one. (might be fun to paint a special rock)

  • Hop through the squares, skipping the one you have your marker on.

  • Pick up the marker on your way back.

  • Pass the marker on to the next person.

  • Here are some patterns I found but I would love to see what patterns you create.
