Week 5: 5/11-15 PE

Monday (5/11)

  1. Do a short warm-up that includes jumping jacks, jog in place high knees, kick bottom, arm circles forward and back, trunk twists, skip, and/or jump rope for a few minutes before stretching - this allows our bodies to get warm to be able to more readily stretch.

  2. Do the Tabata workout -->

  3. Cool Down by trying as many of these poses as you can.

  4. Hold each pose for up to 15-20 seconds

  5. Do it with soft music playing, think about relaxing as you do each pose, remember to breathe in and exhale out! Focus is on Relaxation!

  6. Reflect on how you feel now that you are done.

Tuesday (5/12)

  1. You Pick - 1 Mile, 2 Miles, or 3 Miles

  2. You can walk, jog or run. It's up to you.

  3. Don't worry if you start out running and begin to walk. Studies show that walking is just as effective for physical gains as jogging and running.

  4. Complete this reflection and share it with your family and/or teacher.

Wednesday (5/13)

  1. Do the activity on from P-90X

  2. Modify your workout if it is too difficult, this means to do variations of the activity if it is too hard to hold a position.

  3. Complete this reflection and share it with your family and/or teacher.

Thursday (5/14)

  1. Use a computer, phone, radio, or some other music producing device and...Let's go dancing!

  2. If you have Just Dance, Dance Dance Dance, or other such games you can dance with yourself, friends (if appropriately social distanced), or invite your family and dance for 45 - 60 minutes!

  3. If you do not have a Dance program, you can find "Just Dance" songs on YouTube or just turn on the radio to your favorite station.

  4. Make a list of songs and the time/length of each song you dance to and share it with your family and/or teacher so you can see how long you were active.

  5. Remember, Let's make each day the best day ever!

Friday (5/15) - OPTIONAL
