In unit 6 we will examine the expansion of the United States in many regards. We will look at how the expansion of our population (through immigration) drove the size of our country to grow, as well as the economy of the country. We will also examine the problems that expansion created. Lastly, we will revisit that old topic of slavery, and see how it has affected us.
