View the short movie about Caine's Arcade and become inspired to make a Caine's Arcade Game using low-res making/tinkering.
Lo-res making is a Stanford Design School technique to make a rapid prototype as fast and as inexpensive as possible to test your idea. In this exercise, lo-res making means using cardboard, craft sticks, slurpee straws, and office products. No laser cutter on the lo-res prototype; only scissors or utility knives for cutting. Then, test your arcade game with your tablemates. Video them playing your arcade game and then interview them for feedback on how to make your game better.
You will do a second iteration using design-thinking to improve the user experience. In the redesign, we expand the making toolkit to include Fab Lab tools (laser cutter/engraver; 3D printer; vinyl cutter, Arduino microcontroller).
