A Norman door is a poorly designed door that confuses or fails to give you an idea whether to push or pull.
Watch this video about Don Norman and User-Centered Design.
Then, go with your table group on a field trip to find four examples of Norman Doors on the NBPS campus.
(Formative Exercise) - Make a 30-sec video (group/table exercise) with the location and a demonstration of why the door is an example of a Norman Door. Include the location of the Norman Door in the introduction to the 5-sec video clip of each Norman Door. Upload your team's video to this Shared Google Drive Location.
(Summative Exercise) - Make a 30-sec video (group/table exercise) with the location and a demonstration of an often used device in the school that follows good user-centered design and an often used device in the school that violates one of the principles of user design (ease of use, learnability, etc). Include the location of the device in the introduction to the 5-sec video clip of each often-used device in the school. Upload your team's video to this Shared Google Drive Location.
