Redesign Chassis - lower Center-of-Mass
Design New Propeller Blades
Raise Motor Mount for larger Propeller Blades
In the previous design challenge, you built Gabe Ficklin's Propeller Car and then re-designed/modified and built a second car from scratch using sustainable design principles. This time, you will design a new version of the propeller car to go farther, faster and straighter. You may build rapid prototypes, but this is a time-constrained project focusing on idea generation and communicating your design ideas.
Follow the Design Process that you learned in The Wallet and Design a new Propeller Car to go farther, faster and straighter
Assessment (Formative and Summative)- A reflective exercise to develop the innovation skills that you are expected to demonstrate in your Major Design Project - 60 points total - specifically:
Creative Thinking Skills
Working Creatively with Others (Group Work)
This is a Group Project. But your Web Post is an individual effort.
Make sure there is only ONE duplication of your Innovation Rubrics among your 3-person group
There are five (5) instances in the Innovative Rubric regarding Thinking Creatively, and three (3) instances in the Innovation Rubric regarding Working Creatively with Others.
Scoring - three instances per person in your group; 20 points max per instance (60 points total)
