Alongside ensuring that we are liaising with our additional support needs and guidance departments we also take proactive steps to support our learners needs in Mathematics. We have access to, and utilise, differentiated work designed to scaffold learners without leaving anyone behind. We also utilise many different maniuplatives and aids to ensure access to topic is equitable.
Beyond this, however, we also offer further support for our learners both in BGE and Senior Phase through:
Offering both lunchtime and after school study support sessions which are available for drop in.
Offering Easter School on the run up to exam leave for Senior Phase pupils to access.
We keep and maintain notes and materials on classroom teams at all levels so that students can access notes, work, and homeworks digitally.
Channels on classroom teams where students are able to ask their teachers questions and receive responses.
Learning conversations which allow student and teacher to discuss learning progression, assign targets and steps to said achieving targets.
Signposting is available in classrooms to popular websites for further study at home.
