S1 - S3 TOPICS
National Drama
The National 5 Drama course encourages candidates to exercise imagination and creativity. They develop important skills, attitudes and attributes, including creativity and adaptability, learning independently and as part of a group, critical thinking, enthusiasm, and confidence.
Learners will select an Acting or Design role and present to a visiting assessor which accounts for 60% of their final grade.
Learners will prepare a 400 word essay about the process of carrying out their role which accounts for 40% of their final grade.
Higher Drama
The course enables candidates to develop and use a range of complex drama skills and production skills. Candidates develop practical skills in creating and presenting drama, and knowledge and understanding of historical, social and cultural influences on drama.
