This chiseled basalt, pictured above, is a volcanic stone and has been used in architecture for centuries. Although basalt boasts the durability of a granite, they have the consistent coloration, markings and subtlety of a limestone. Basalt is neutral in color and doesn’t etch when exposed to acidic foods, making it popular kitchen countertop material. Their Basaltina slabs and countertops are best sellers. They also offer a variety of basalt mosaics.
