KVADRAT TEXTILES
Kvadrat , textile design manufacture, likes to push the aesthetic, technological and functional properties of textiles. Their textiles are developed to be used for contemporary treatments of upholstery, curtains, acoustics, rugs, accessories, apparel and roller blinds.
Upholstery fabrics can include natural fibers such as wool, cotton, and hemp; as well as man-made materials, such as polyester, polypropylene, polyurethane, and microfiber.
Weaves include plain, twill, satin, Jacquard, double, Épinglé, and Velvet (cut pile). Knitted textiles are produced on circular knitting machines. The yarn is moved around by a circular bed of needles, creating a knitted tube. This is then cut open to make a flat fabric, resulting in a fabric with multi-directional elasticity.
Kvadrat frequently collaborates with international artists and designers on significant exhibitions, projects, installations and individual art and design works .
