Bee Saving Paper is an innovative, 100% compostable material, which after use, can become an energy source for bees. It is tree free – made of lemon grass, cotton, glucose, lemon oil and plant seeds (native to Europe where this product was developed).

Bee Saving Paper was developed in response to the declining bee populations and health, in part due to habitat destruction. Bees often have to fly further than they used to, exhausting their energy supplies. By planting the paper an ecological corridor for other bees will be created. For them, the plant will be like an island on their way home across an ocean.

Bee Saving Paper is covered with water-based UV paint, with a pattern full of circles visible only to bees, which bees interpret as “landing zones” which point them towards the parts of living plants that contain nectar and pollen.

Once the paper has served its commercial purpose, it can be torn up and placed in the garden where the bees can replenish their energy stores. Planted paper with seeds will yield a native flowering plants bees are attracted to.
