SMOOTH-ON EPOXACAST®
Smooth-On's EpoxAcast™ Series are castable epoxies used for a variety of industrial applications. They are easy to use, contain no VOC’s and are solvent free. Compared to Smooth-Cast™ or TASK™ urethane plastics, EpoxAcast™ epoxies are generally harder, have higher compression strength as well as higher heat and abrasion resistance. They are also widely used for electrical encapsulation and bonding applications.
EpoxAcast™ 650 is a mineral filled, low cost and versatile epoxy used for making hard dies for metal stamping, patterns, fixtures and more.
EpoxAcast™ 655 is a versatile aluminum filled castable epoxy that is very hard and strong, used for Make hard tooling, vacuum forming dies/molds, injection molds, foundry patterns, jigs, fixtures and metal forming dies.
EpoxAcast™ 670 HT offers high heat resistance up to 350° F/177° C if post cure schedule is used. Ideal for making vacuum form molds, foundry patterns, forming dies & fixtures, hard rollers, industrial parts and high impact tools.
EpoxAcast™ 690 is ideal for making clear jewelry/beads or replacement lenses for kit cars and other applications requiring a rigid, clear finished product. It can be colored.
