CARNEGIE XOREL® TEXTILES

Samples of Korel panels in three patterns
Korel Pipeline acoustical panel assembled in a decorative pattern

Carnegie's plant-based Xorel® is the world's first biobased high performance, fire retardant interior textile. Xorel is composed of 68% polyethylene (PE) and 32% biobased PE. Xorel® textiles can be used for upholstery, wallcoverings and panels. The textile featured here is used for acoustical panels. It has a value of NRC of 1.05 when wrapped on a 2" thick panel (Test Method ASTM C 423).

All Xorel® fabrics are woven with polyethylene yarn of different sizes and shapes. Most Xorel® fabrics are inherently flame retardant (IFR). All Xorel® yarns are solution dyed and are totally free of chlorine, plasticizers, heavy metals, and chemical finishes. They are water/solvent and bleach cleanable.
