Cabot Aerogel, is an insulating solid material used to enhance the thermal performance of energy-saving materials and sustainable products . Their product line enables a wide range of product forms and applications, including interior and exterior insulating plasters, insulation boards, thermal insulation coatings, architectural day-lighting panels, glass units and tensile roofing systems, ultra low gloss matte paint coatings for industrial surfaces, outdoor gear and apparel, personal products including skin and beauty care, among others.

Cabot industrial-grade aerogel particles are offered as LUMIRA®, designed to optimize light transmission for use in architectural daylighting applications; and ENOVA® , engineered for demanding specialty chemical applications such as insulating coatings, ultra-low gloss and light diffusion, and skin and beauty care.

The aerogel products do not contain crystalline silica and are neither carcinogenic nor mutagenic. Aerogel may be irritating to eyes and skin .
