HOOK POTTERY PAPER
Hook Pottery Paper is made by Andrea Peterson. The papers are all formed in the traditional western style of papermaking with an archival focus. Most of the fibers are gathered locally. Local fibers include cotton, corn stalks, dayliily leaves, wheat, hay, ragweed, and flax. Sisal and abaca are from India and the Phillipines, respectively. Cotton based papers use denim and rag either upcycled jeans or a by-product of the clothing industry.
Paste papers are made on sized handmade paper from cotton rag and abaco. The paste used is a combination of organic wheat and rice flours, pigmented with acrylic paints.
All papers are sized and take inkjet and relief ink well and can be used in marbling.
Also available through Colophon Book Arts Supply.
