DEER PELT

Deer have hollow hair, which breaks over time, so their hides are better choices for use as wall hangings or other decorative piece that will not see a good deal of wear. They are not recommended for use as a rug, or seat cushions or used for anything that would move the hairs constantly.

Individual hairs are used in fishing flies and in artist brushes.
