BENDYWOOD®
Bendywood® is a pliable, solid wood that can be bent without using steam or heat, due to a special production process, It can be worked like normal wood and subsequently bent by hand in a cold (no heating) and dry (no steaming or wetting) condition.
Bendywood® is produced in without the use of chemicals, using a patented processing technique involves steaming, compressing lengthways and stabilizing faultless solid hardwood blocks in sizes of 120x120 mm, 100x120 mm and 60x120 mm.
Bendywood® is not waterproof and should not be used outdoors.
Bendywood® is available in beech, oak, maple, ash, elm, cherry and walnut. The maximum lengths produced in one piece, are 2200 mm (beech) and 1500 mm (maple, ash, oak, cherry and walnut). All longer lengths are jointed, lengths up to 13 m can be produced.
