Dear Parents/Guardians,
From my end this time, it is just a list - of celebrations, congratulations, and gratitude - as I look back at the year gone by.
14 of our senior athletes qualified for the nationals and at the nationals came back with 1 silver and 2 bronzes.
Both our junior boys and girls athletics teams came first in the regionals and earned automatic qualifications to the nationals.
At the National Debate League, all top 5 positions were won by LOTS teams (Primary), and even in the Secondary section 2 of our teams qualified for the Pan African Championships.
11 teams from LOTS cleared the regionals of the World Scholars’ Cup and qualified for the Global round.
Our Secondary School team won the Bronze Trophy at the District Spelling Bee Championships.
12 of our brave students spoke and performed at the first ever school TEDx event in Zambia, hosted by LOTS.
Our student won an international golf tournament in the under 10 category.
In our first ever Cambridge CheckPoint board exams, both our CP 6 and LS 3 students achieved superlative scores, and the commendation by Cambridge was ‘Excellent”.
3 of our graduating A Level students have received university admission offers from universities in UK, New Zealand, Malaysia, and South Africa, and a few more are awaiting similar confirmations on their applications.
6 of our staff members have made presentations and conducted workshops in national and international conferences.
And at the end of it all, when i ask some of our acorns what they value the most at LOTS, they say it is the joy they find here.
So how can we not celebrate? How can we not count our blessings? And how can we not be grateful for the tenacity of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the unreserved support of our parents?
This village cares. Need I say more?
Warm regards
Shouquot Hussain

Exam Accommodations for Students Under Learning Support
As exams commence, the Learning Support Department remains committed to ensuring that all students have the tools they need to succeed. Students under learning support receive specific accommodations tailored to their individual needs, including extra time, quiet testing environments, access to readers where appropriate. These adjustments are not advantages but necessary supports that provide equitable access to the curriculum. As we wrap up what has been a truly outstanding athletics season, we take a moment to celebrate our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and supportive families who made this season a triumph in every way. Who contributed to a year of growth, grit, and glory. We celebrate not only the personal bests, podium finishes, and team victories—but the spirit of unity, perseverance, and hard work that made it all possible. From the first day of training to the final event, our athletes have demonstrated remarkable dedication and sportsmanship. This season was not just about medals—it was about growth, teamwork, and resilience.
But even the strongest athletes don’t do it alone—true success is a team effort, and this season, we were a team in every sense of the word. As basketball legend Michael Jordan once said, “Talent wins games, but teamwork … wins championships.”
🏆 Highlights:
First ISAZ trophy for the school coming from the Junior athletics
Largest team of athletes that qualified to nationals
Most medals in school history at nationals
