As we prepare for the start of the new academic year on August 26, 2024, we want to ensure that everything is in place for a smooth and successful beginning. Below is a pre-opening checklist to help you get ready for Term 1 at Lusaka Oaktree School. 

Pre-Opening Checklist

1. Update you contact Click here if not done so already

2. School Fees:

   • Ensure that Term 1 school fees are paid on or before August 1, 2024.

   • Obtain financial clearance by sharing Proof of Payment (POP) and collecting the fee receipt.

   • Contact the finance officer for any assistance

3. School Policies:

   • All School Policies are available on the LOTS Community Hub. Click Here

   • Download, Read, Sign and return the Student and Parent Agreement. Click Here

4. Uniforms:

   • Purchase the required school uniforms from the school uniform store. In case of non-availability of specific size, place and order with Uniform Store.

   • Ensure that all uniforms are labeled with your child’s name.

   • Visit Uniform Store in School or Contact the Store In-Charge

5. Textbooks and Stationery:

   • Acquire the necessary textbooks and stationery items. These are also available for purchase at the school store.

   • Ensure that all items are labeled with your child’s name.

6. Medical Information:

   • Update any medical information and emergency contact details with the school Administration office.

   • Provide any necessary medication and instructions to the school administration office.

7. School Supplies:

   • Ensure your child has a suitable backpack, lunchbox, and water bottle.

   • Check that all supplies are in good condition and labeled with your child’s name.

8. Transport Arrangements:

   • Confirm transport arrangements for your child. If you wish to avail the school bus facility, fill in the School Bus Reservation form : Click Here

9. Parent Portal Access:

   • Ensure you have access to the Parent Portal : Engage for important updates and information.

   • Update your contact information in the Parent Portal: Engage if there have been any changes.

   • Contact IT Support for assistance

10. Class Schedule:

    • Review your child’s class schedule/Time Table, which will be available on the LOTS Community Hub.

    • Discuss the schedule/Timetable with your child to ensure they are familiar with their classes and timings.

11. Orientation and Information Sessions:

    • Attend any scheduled orientation or information sessions provided by the school.

    • Review any materials or information provided during these sessions.

12. After-School Activities:

    • Explore the list of after-school clubs and activities available and discuss your child's interests. This will be shared during Week 1.

    • ECA Enrollment forms will be made during week 1.

13. Student Well-being:

    • Ensure your child gets adequate rest and nutrition in the days leading up to the first day of school.

    • Discuss any anxieties or concerns your child may have about the new school year and offer support and reassurance.

• Parent Orientation Early Years Programme:  3 September, 2024

• Parent Orientation Cambridge Primary:  4 September, 2024

• Parent Orientation Cambridge Seconday:  5 September, 2024
